The icy hands of death strike again! This time depriving us of our other dad. An entire book would not suffice if we each have to pen our experiences with Torde Seth as we fondly referred to our dear uncle. Simple and a perfect gentleman, yet his poise was never out of sight.
Torde was our second dad, he showed us love in many ways; his smiles, actions and gifted hands. He was a good disciplinarian and strict on studies. He was very caring and even as adults, he would always insist on pushing money into our hands even when we refused to take it.
Ill-health cut so many aspirations short. Some of us could feel it in your grip when your speech ceased. For over a decade, we constantly reminded God for a miracle each time we communed with Him but ….
The spot reserved for you in our hearts is branded permanent. We thank God, Uncle Seth was a great blessing to us and to countless others because all the discipline and tutelage paid off.
May God Bless Mummy Gloria (a real virtuous vessel) and the entire support team all these years. May the joy of our Lord remain your strength. We find solace in the words of Romans 8:28 NKJV which states; “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

The Village Experience
Torde Seth hmmmm!!! As often as the night comes so is our grief and sadness of your passing on, as constant as the day comes so is our love for you. We cannot forget your incessant efforts to glue us to our books whenever you came home (to Wusuta).
The whipping and scolding could also not go unnoticed because it had a significant impact on us growing up even though it was always a dilemma whether to come near you or distant ourselves; but with time it became clearer that you were trying to touch us with love and discipline.
We pray that our Lord grants you, Uncle Seth, eternal rest in His bosom (now that you are pain-free) till we meet again on the other side of eternity. Torde, hede nyuie ne na dzudzor lɛ Mawu o nñutifafame sia
